What you don't know about your cat?

My experience with my Ragdoll cat named"Pudddles" (yes 3D's) is a poignant example of the remarkable connection that can develop between a cat and their owner, especially in moments of distress and vulnerability.

Ragdoll cats, known for their affectionate nature and gentle demeanor, often form strong bonds with their human companions. Pudddles' behavior showed a heightened level of empathy and sensitivity to my emotional well-being, which is not uncommon among certain cat breeds known for their social and intuitive nature.

During recovery from my Throat Cancer Radiotherapy, I had extreme episodes of distressing nightmares, always one of three themes

1. Being chased by someone trying to kill me.
2. Me being attacked and fighting people away
3. Running a marathon which I was exhausted

NOTE this can be a common side of Ear Nose and throat Radiation Therapy

Pudddles would pick up on my discomfort, such as twitching movements changes in my breathing patterns, or the sounds I made while asleep he would then wake me up by sitting on my chest and licking my chin, I would wake up then settle and go back to sleep and he would also.
Cats have keen senses and can detect changes in their environment, including shifts in their owner's emotional state, through their acute hearing, sense of smell, and ability to perceive body language.
In response to my distress, Pudddles instinctively sought to provide comfort and support by waking me up from my nightmares. This behavior may have been driven by a combination of his natural inclination to care for you, his deep attachment to me as his owner, and his ability to recognize when I was in need of assistance.
The fact that Puddles consistently responded to my distress, waking me up and then allowing me to return to sleep undisturbed, underscores the depth of his bond with you and his intuitive understanding of your needs. This kind of emotional support from a pet can be incredibly comforting and reassuring, helping to alleviate feelings of fear and anxiety during challenging times.
He "Pudddles" is very vocal and talks to me every time I speak to him. I really believe they connect to you at a higher level than we know.
My experience with Pudddles serves as a powerful testament to the unique and profound ways in which cats can enrich our lives, offering not only companionship and affection but also a source of solace and emotional support during difficult moments. It highlights the extraordinary depth of the human-animal bond and the remarkable capacity of cats to provide comfort and care to their owners in times of need.
We now have two Ragdolls and One Russian Blue But the Ragdoll "Pudddles" grew up as a kitten during my tough times of Cancer Treatment and recovery-needless to say it is extremely rare for me not to be out of HIS eyesight.
The other Ragdoll and Russian Blue Cats were purchased as kittens 6 and 7 years later and when my recovery was advanced do not react or behave on the same level as "Pudddles" my first Ragdoll . A possible reason for this is as a kitten he was around when I was at my sickest and was detrimental in developing his natural instinct to protect.
DO NOT dismiss this as fantasy, it is a true unbiased recall of factual events.

WHAT IS A THERAPY CAT AND UNDERSTATED BENEFICIAL EFFECT ON THEIR OWNERS.

Therapy cats can have a profound impact on the well-being of those they visit. Their calming presence, gentle demeanor, and nonjudgmental nature can help reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness in people facing a variety of challenges, including illness, disability, or emotional distress.
Why are there Seeing Eye Dogs, disability assistance, and search and rescue dogs , because their advanced senses have been recognized and nurtured for their enhanced ability above that of our own.
